Sustainability is front and center at our Runaway & Homeless Youth Shelter in 2025.
For 49 years, youth have come to us in crisis, and Walker’s Point Youth & Family Center has been there providing emergency shelter, mental health counseling, and transitional housing for runaway and homeless youth. We offer safety and compassion to those fleeing family rejection, domestic violence, and human trafficking.
When the loss of a federal grant—something beyond our control and not reflective of the quality and effectiveness of our programs and services—threatened to close our shelter in late 2024, donors from Milwaukee and across the United States stepped in to provide support. Thanks to the community's generosity, we will be able to keep our doors open throughout 2025.
As we look forward, we're committed to expanding our community of support to ensure we never find ourselves in a funding crisis situation again.
Join the community movement to fund our mission now and into the future!
Your support today is an investment in the future of many Milwaukee youth, showing that HOPE OPENS DOORS!
